Ament Law Group, P.C. is a Murrysville, Pennsylvania law firm serving families and businesses across six counties in Western Pennsylvania. Co-founded by W. Robert Ament and John W. Ament, the firm brings over 50 years of combined legal experience to every client relationship.

Our Attorneys

Our four attorneys combine decades of experience with a shared commitment to providing personal, accessible legal counsel. Partners John W. Ament and W. Robert Ament co-founded the firm and continue to lead its estate planning, real estate, and business practice. Both are licensed Pennsylvania title insurance agents through Chicago Title and First American, enabling the firm to conduct closings, issue title insurance, and provide comprehensive legal counsel throughout every real estate transaction.

Laura Cohen, Of Counsel, brings more than 30 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, she is known for her compassionate approach and deep commitment to helping families navigate complex estate matters. Before joining Ament Law Group, she founded Family Legal Center, LLC and built a practice serving clients across Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.

Patrick J. Shannon, Of Counsel, brings more than 40 years of legal experience rooted in the Murrysville community. A graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, he has spent his entire career cultivating relationships that span generations, guiding clients through estate planning, probate, and inheritance matters with thoroughness and care.

Our attorneys are licensed to practice in the Pennsylvania state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
